The Museum of Gumelnița Civilization Olteniţa, in partnership with the National Heritage Institute and the Association for Urban Development on the occasion of the project "3D Perspective on prehistory. Heritage Museum of Gumelniţa Civilization in light of new information technologies ", co-funded by the National Cultural Fund Administration announces implementation workshop" 3D Perspective on prehistory. Photogrammetry and museum restoration workshop”

The event highlights the technical conservation and documentation through digitization (photogrammetry and 3D modeling) of goods from the collection of prehistorical archaeological of Museum of Gumelnița Civilization and educating young people in high schools "Nicolae Bălcescu" and "Neagoe Basarab" from Olteniţa in the sense of active involvement and concrete in the preservation and valorisation of the national cultural heritage. Students will be trained in using photogrammetric techniques and methods and techniques of conservation and restoration of classic items with a view to their subsequent involvement of the archaeological heritage preservation activities of the Museum. By digitizing 3D objects the museum wants to highlight a new solution viable and modern for preservation of the cultural patrimony for an unlimited period of time.

The action will take place on October 20, 2015 between 10:00 - 12:00 on City Hall, Olteniţa.
