Project- Green Gold of Danube

This project was intended to show the wealth of green and the people who live close to the Danube. Its duration of two years, more precisely 2011-2013, realized on Axis 2 (2007-2013). The goal was to inform and develop our knowledge of nature protection. The project partners were the Culture House "Nikola Vaptsarov Yonko 1872" from Tutrakan, Bulgaria, Museum of Civilization Gumelniţa from Olteniţa, România and District Administration Silistra, Bulgaria.

The single most essential part of the project was the realization of finished products intended to target the groups of the project. Namely:

1. Coloring books and puzzles for kindergarten in Tutrakan and Olteniţa;
2. Organize a photo safari on the Danube in Olteniţa and Tutrakan for young people whose photos helped creating a popular encyclopedias;
3. Folk festivals;
4. Drawing contests;
5. Seminars for entrepreneurs;
6. Exhibition of photographs;
7. Seminars for NGOs and the general public.

But the most important result was the creation of links between young people who participated, between Folk groups, NGOs and schools on the both sides of the Danube. The project costs were about 900,000 euros.
